2010 in Short
Wow! So I have REALY been lax with this whole blogging thing. Well let's see. The BEginning of 2010 didn't start of so well. I lost our 5th child at 9 weeks. Not a fun experience and not something I ever want to do again. Two weeks later though, i was jetsetting to Paris, France to be a part of a Orientation tour to prepare me for what my 2011 tour with students would be like. It was a whirlwind tour of 5 days, 2 days dedicsted to traveling. It was a blast though. Cheese, nutella and Orangina. So good! After that was a pretty quick ending to our school year. Rhiannon made it through first grade, Garion promoted to 6th and Keely moved up to 8th. Ronan started pre-K this year too to help him with his speech. He is doing so much better. In June I turned 36 -on the downside to 40. But I find pleasure in knowing that Darrick is STILL two years closer than me! Garion Graduated from Webelo Scouts and is now an 11 year old scout. We were ahving to do double duty on stuff at the end there so he could get his Arrow of Light, which is the only award a scout can take from Cubs to Boy Scouts. he worked really ahrd and I am super proud of him. I am now a tenured teacher at SBHS and have been given an AP Art History class to teach. It is one of the very few taught in our district so that makes the kids feel good to know that they are pioneers - at least at our school. We also started the National Art honor Society for the art centered students to help them gain access to schools and a future they may not have been able to before. This is our first Charter year in 15 years. Really excited! Keely turned 14 this year and is now a Mia Maid in the Church. She is such a sweet girl and I am so thankful she is mine - 180 degree turn from when she was little! In December we found out that a little one would be joining us sometime in August. We are all super excited. The kids want a baby sister but Garion wants another baby brother to love on. I really am just hoping for a healthy pregnancy and baby. Looking forward to this year!
